Refraction Season 02: Minted Chaos is here! The season officially began July 1st, and has kicked off in a big way. Our Season 02/03 Funding Proposal passed unanimously, opening our rollout for resource allocation and support for community lead impact. Thanks so much for getting your votes in!
We’re incredibly excited to launch Season 02’s first big initiative: Creative Grants.
✨ | Creative Grants
It has been amazing to see the high caliber of artists, founders, builders and thought leaders who have joined Refraction to date. There is no better way to convey our DAO’s ethos to the world than by providing structure and support for the stories our members are looking to tell and the work they want to create. Thus, Creative Grants has been put into effect to help actualize ideas and projects from our collective.
The grants provided by this program will be awarded across three funding tiers, totaling up to 100k $USDC, and divided between event and commission submissions.
The Season 02 timeline for Creative Grants is as follows ⬇️
Open call | August 15th – All applications are due by this date!
Application review | August 15th-31st - Refraction’s curatorial committee will review all applications
Selected applicant reach out | September 6th - All selected applicants will be contacted to refine proposals and bring selections to a Snapshot vote for wider community vote
Final Snapshot | September 12th-16th - Final proposals will be voted on via Snapshot
Following Snapshot vote, successfully funded applications will onboard and interact with guilds week commencing September 19th
Important note! If you have any friends or family who might be interested in applying for a grant but are not yet in the DAO, please feel free to share this initiative with them! Refraction is here to support incredible art and artists, full stop, and we do not want this opportunity to pass by anyone who would benefit. The logistics of DAO membership will be sorted out and well communicated with anyone who submits an application.

Editorial is working hard on releasing recaps of all Refraction events to date. We’ll be highlighting the magic moments and good times from each of our Season 00 and Season 01 shows. In each recap, our stellar music curator Pauline Le Mell will be pairing a DJ mix to with the editorial content. In case you missed it, our first recap featured our rollout of shows during NFT.NYC.
